www.eham.net/reviews/detail/5037Reviews: 16 Average rating: 4.9/5 MSRP: $16 Description: Antenna that is 102" long and is used mainly by CB Radio Operators. Also a good choice for 10 Meters. This antenna is available at some Radio Shack stores and at Radio shops. The old standby 102 inch steel CB whip has been around for a long time and used on the amateur bands by many hams over the years. This design will incorporate four of the steel whips and allow us to concentrate our signal to a specific area and give us 3 to 4 dBd to boot (*)! It is direct feed with 50 ohm coax. It will also be easy to assemble and fairly transportable at a cost of about $100 depending on how you connect the whips to the boom or use new or used materials. Here's a method I chose which will make it a snap to assemble and install in cold weather, field day, etc. www.hamuniverse.com/kl7jr10meter2elwhipbeam.htmlI think TA needs to take some pics of his setup! I was definitely impressed with his 102" whip antenna setup. Guess that explains why you can hear him from Brazil in a Ford Ranger. Setup looked professionally done! Hell, TA should do a video and show it on youtube. There arent very many cb videos on youtube, especially with installation, tuning, and running equipment.
