:-/Need a low profile antenna thats simple to make simple to put up and affective. All you need is some wire,I like to use #12or#10 stranded copper, some type of end and center insulators,I use 1/2 or 3/4 pvc pipe cut about 4" long each then I drill a hole through each end large enough to pass the wire through. Now take 468 divided the frequency in megahertz. For example take 468 divided 27.075 = 17.285' or 17'5"roughly.That is the total overal length, now cut it in half and it makes each side or each pole of your dipole.Place your center insulator between each wire and place an insulator on each end. Now take a piece of coax and split it apart at one end seperating the sheild from the center conductor, now solder the center to one side of your dipole at the center insulator and solder the braid to the other side.now you can string your antenna up in a tree or hang the center from your tower. The ends can slope at 90 degree angl from one another or it can be strung up flat. You will have to tune the antenna by trimming or adding wire at equal amounts on eah end.You can use insulated wire and you can also use solid wire just so you know.Any questions just ask.Oh yeah when you see how much db gain an antenna has it is it is usually based on gain over a dipole.Mr.420
